For some men, nothing is written until they write it.

Quote and Quotable #16: On Love and Relationships
It’s all so complicated with the flowers and the romance and the lies upon lies.
~Dr. Zoidberg, from Futurama
Quote and Quotable #15: On Faith
People break down into two groups when experience something lucky. Group number one sees it as more than luck, more than coincidence. They see it as a sign, evidence that there is someon up there watching out for them. Group number two sees it as just pure luck, a happy turn of chance. I’m sure that people in group number two are looking at those 14 lights in a very suspicious way. For them, the situation is 50/50. Could be bad, could be good. But deep down they feel that whatever happen, they’re on their own and that fills them with fear.
Yeah, there are those people.
But there’s a whole lot of people in group number one. When they see those 14 lights they’re looking at a miracle. And deep down they feel that whatever is going to happen, there’ll be someone there to help them, and that fills them with hope.
So you have to ask yourself what kind of person are you? Are you the kind that sees signs, sees miracles, or do you believe that people just get lucky?
Or look at the question this way: is it possible there are no coincidences?
~From the movie Signs
Quote and Quotable #14: On Friendships
Forsake not an old friend; for the new is not comparable to him: a new friend is as new wine; when it is old, thou shall drink it with pleasure.
Sirach 9:10
Quote and Quotable #13: On Dreaming Big
All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible.
~Thomas E. Lawrence
Quote and Quotable #12: On Being Equal in America
The “historic” election of President Obama, the nation’s first black president “may cause us to fall prey to a false sense of accomplishment and self-satisfcation, and that apathy and complacency may set in.”
-Gwendolyn Grant of the Urban League of Greater Kansas City

Do you really feel like your whole world made this dramatic change January 20? What have you done lately? You haven’t “made it” yet.
Quote and Quotable #11: On Terrorism
From Star Trek: The Next Generation
A conversation between Captain Picard and Commander Data
-I have never subscribed to the theory that political power flows from the barrel of a gun.
-Yet, there are numerous examples where this has been successful. So would it be fair to say that terrorism is acceptable when all other options for peaceful settlement have been foreclosed?
-These are questions that mankind has been struggling with throughout history. Your confusion is…only human.
Quote and Quotable #10: On Mercy
There is no such thing as mercy. When your opponent is down, keep on kicking them until they pass out. Let them wake up, and then kick them again. Mercy is not in your vocabulary.
~Mitko
Quote and Quotable #9: On Revenge
Do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love be servants of one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: You shall love your neighbour as yourself. But if you bite and devour one another, take heed that you are not consumed by one another.
~from Paul to the Galatians
Quote and Quotable #8: On Honour
Adapted from My Forever Love
A woman can lose her way in this world so easily. She can see horrors that make her question her sense of worth, her sense of well-being, her sense of what is right and wrong. She can be overcome by greed, by lust, by the lure of another woman’s possessions. She can have everything she owns, even her name and her reputation taken away from her in the blink of an eye. But the one thing, the only thing a woman cannot have taken away from her is her honour. That, she has to give away.
